The Gloss Studio is a 6,000 square-foot gut renovation for the production and presentation of digital and video marketing. It includes several editing rooms, viewing rooms, and a theater for production and top-tier clients. It was important that the space be very sleek and styled competitively in the marketing and tech world, so special attention was paid to concealing the computing infrastructure and highlighting high-end finishes and lighting.

The Tribeca Loft was a gut renovation for a client that shared our enjoyment in creating dramatic architectural moments within a space. This allowed us to create and fabricate custom objects specifically for this space. The custom pieces included a secret bookcase door in the hallway, never-seen-before wall hung steel and smoked glass kitchen cabinets, and a dramatic powder room with a unique vanity and sink. Materials and finishes were also chosen to accentuate the neighborhood; including reclaimed wood from nearby demolition sites, blackened steel and lofty white walls.

This Southampton summer residence was designed and built with a modern farmhouse aesthetic. It is a 5,000 square-foot home with an accompanying swimming pool and pool house. The design approach was to guide as many views towards the rear yard and pool, while keeping the front façade private and simple. The impressive double-height glass wall and wood stair at the entry act as “hinges” that connect the two wings of the home. A seaside feeling with natural light was very important to the family, so skylights and warm woods with some Long Island features were designed into the home.
My role as Project Manager included complete management of all phases of design and construction, including client meetings, material selections, producing design and construction drawings, managing timelines, and construction administration.

This new 4,500 square-foot natural stone and timber clubhouse serves as the welcoming lodge to a 1,000-acre wooded community. The challenge was to maximize the footprint and minimize maintenance and future energy costs. The solution was to be selective with the interior spaces needed for amenities and clubhouse management, so largest room, the “living room”, is a grand passive open-air porch. It was also very important that the design be modern and fresh while using the community board’s traditional log exterior and predominately all wood interior. The special attention given to these smaller parts and how it related the building’s proportion created a space that feels natural and refined.

This single-story home reconstruction project began with an unfortunate fire. The new home would provide a fresh start for the family and neighborhood. The owner’s vision was an updated version of an Arts & Crafts-style home.
We kept the home’s existing footprint and expanded it vertically with a taller pitched roof and dormers, creating a sunny and flexible attic. The existing brick apron was painted while the windows and exterior finishes were updated to fit the desired aesthetic.

This existing 2-story 1,200 square-foot Tudor style home was in need of an interior upgrade and overall extension. The communal areas were crowded, the 3 bedrooms were small and the garage could not house a typical vehicle - the family needed more space. There was also a desire to respect the existing style of the home and the neighborhood, so minimal impact to the facade was a main priority.
The solution to the additions became a product of proportion and what the passer-by may see from the street. We enlarged the garage with the same Tudor style design to the existing facade. The rear single-story addition was designed to feel deliberately unlike the existing home with a flat roof, dark wood siding, and a wall of windows.
In the end, the crowded home became an open and more usable sun-lit home that opens to the rear yard.
